How Do I Measure My Dog To Obtain An Accurate Collar Size? To measure your pets neck you can use a piece of string: Place the string around your pet's neck. Measure that length of the string by laying it on a ruler or yard stick. Surprise! You're done! However many inches you measured, that’s your pet's neck size.
