CAROB NUTRITION FACTS
Did you know that Carob is very HEALTHY for doggies? Yes, that's right. In fact,
carob comes from the fruit of an evergreen tree, which is native to the Mediterranean
region. The tree produces large, long bean-like pods. These pods are picked,
dried, and then ground into fine powder (results look very similar to cocoa).
Carob contains ZERO of the dangerous ingredients found in the cocoa bean! Carob
has NONE of the allergy-producing antibodies or the caffeine stimulant called
theobromine, which can be fatal to some dogs. Also, FYI! Carob contains as much
vitamin B1 as strawberries (YUMMY) or asparagus and the same amount of niacin
as are in some lentils. Carob has more vitamin A than eggplant, asparagus and
beets! It's also high in magnesium, calcuim, vitamin B2, and iron. So, feel
free to indulge your dear doggie in the occasional carob treats. They are wonderful
and healthy.
